He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Robert; and his brother J. R. "Bobby" Carr (Kaye). He is survived by: his daughters, Chelsea Carr and Alison Carr of Wilmington, NC; his sister Joyce C. Crandall (Sammy) of Falls Church, VA; and his girlfriend Denise Smith of Suffolk. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
