She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Emery Nichols and Ethel Duke Nichols; and her brothers, James Emery Nichols and William "Tom" Talmadge Nichols. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Rich" John Kovalik; her children, Tim R. Kovalik (Nanita D. Kovalik) and Lori E. Schoepke (Mark C. Schoepke); her grandchildren, Dakota, Allie, Sidney and McKinley; and her sisters-in-law, Sue Harrell Nichols and Carolyn English Nichols. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
