He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Askew (Toby) and Ollie Marie Askew; and his brother Michael P. Askew. He is survived by: his wife Deborah J Askew; his nephews, Justin Askew (Stephanie), Mathew Askew (Maria), Jonathan Askew (Ashley) and Michael Askew; his great-nephews, Taylor, Mason, Colton and Blake; and his great-niece Harper.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Funeral Home & Crematory, Downtown Suffolk Chapel (509 W Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ALS Association (als.org) and Shriners Children's Hospital (https://www.shrinerschildrens.org).
