He was predeceased by: his daughter Kristian Lowry; his parents, Lafayette Wilkins and Gurney Wilkins; and his mother-in-law R. E. Brittle. He is survived by: his wife Martha Brittle Wilkins; his daughter Dana Ewaldt; his granddaughters, Kallan Lowry and Julianna Lowry; and his sons-in-law, Jeffrey Ewaldt and Jan Lowry.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bethlehem Christian Church (1549 Holland Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434). The military honors will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations be made in Mugsy's memory to Bethlehem Christian Church Endowment Fund.
