He was predeceased by: his father Leck Barton Lawrence; his wife Lois Umphlett Lawrence; and his siblings, George "Bill" Lawrence, Virginia Bundy and Evelyn Askew.
He is survived by: his children, L. B., Shirley Freeman (late Morris) of Harrellsville, NC, Doris Richardson (Bob) of Virginia Beach, Joyce Lawrence-Koenig (late John) of Virginia Beach and Leck Barton Lawrence, III (Susan) of Suffolk; his grandchildren, Robin, Lee (Travis), Jake, Parke (Jordan), Clayton and Sheldon; his great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Cheyenne and Jett Lawrence; his siblings, Mattie Boyce of Tyner, Francis Ashce of Harrellsville, Nancy Brown of Gatesville and Tom Lawrence of Williamsburg; and his caregivers, Alexis and Etienne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
