He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Roy Coup Sr. and Emily Mabus Coup; his children, Michelle Coup and David Coup; and his sister Sylvia Snyder.
He is survived by: his wife Mavis Williams Coup; his sons, John Earl Coup (Karen) and Jason Lee Coup (Christina); his stepdaughter Karen Kidd (Ray); his children, Mark Barker, Lance Barker (Michelle) and Teresa Sherman (Tim); his grandchildren, Chris, Justin, Lyndsey, Ryan, Bryce, Jeremiah, Scott, Cecily, Jenell, Collin, Amy, Shawn, Michael, Mathew and Corey; his great grandchildren, Lilly, Deacon, Braxton, Gatlin and Bridger; and his pet Chase.
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bennetts Creek Chapel (2690 Bridge Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435). A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Veterans Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
