It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian Barnes Fowler (Suffolk, Virginia), who passed away on September 21, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Holmes Fowler; her parents, Curtis Barnes and Bessie Barnes; her sisters, Daisy Ann Byrd and Janice Collins; and her son-in-law Jeff Bangley.
She is survived by: her children, Joanne Bangley, Carroll Fowler (Susan) and Tommy Fowler (Ann); her grandchildren, Sherry Huffman (Mike), Mark Fowler (Tiffany) and Brian Fowler (Katie); her great grandchildren, Clint, Claire, Haley, Kash, Wyatt and Avery; her sister Rose Mitchell (Billy); and her sister-in-law Helen Glenn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, mom asked that memorial donations be made to Somerton Methodist Church, C/O Amy Seiling, 1780 US Hwy 13, Gates N.C. 27937.
