She is survived by: her husband William McCray; her nephew James Gary Jr.; her siblings, Delois Alston of Suffolk, Virginia, James Gary (Virginia) of Surry, Larry Gary (Sylvia) of Richmond and Joseph Gary of Suffolk, Virginia.; her nieces, Sabrina Adams, Laquita Johnson and Tasha Elliott; and her nephew Montrell Elliott. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the T. E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home (405 Johnson Ave, Suffolk, VA 23434). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Victory Christian Church (207 N County Dr, Wakefield, VA 23888). A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery (1421 Kings Fork Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
