She is survived by: her children, Spencer, Ophelia Melton (NC), Josiah Melton (Hampton), Julius Melton (Hampton), Louise Boyce (NN), Clevonia Nicholson (DC), Virgil Jr. (Mary) of Maryland, Bryan (Maudie) of Texas, Alyosha of Hampton, Mark (Michelle) of Newport News, Lynette Harris (Leroy) of Newport News, Sonya Henderson (Steve) of Suffolk and Tonya Murphy (Alexander) of Newport News; her brother Melvin Melton (Mary) of Newport News; and her sisters-in-law, Mildred Newkirk (NN), Margarie Stacy (NY) and Jackie Ellis (NY). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
