He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Roland Pippins and Eunice Josie Harris Pippins; his wife Rebecca Louise Vick Pippins; and his sisters, Katherine Taylor, Eunice Cutchins and Deborah Ivey.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Lee Pippins (April) and Steven Ray Bartlett (Gayle); his grandchildren, Tracey, Mark Pippins, Jonathan Bartlett and Lindsey Lenker (Bryan); his great grandchildren, Bentley, Oliver, Maddie and Ocean Lenker; and his siblings, Betty Hedgepeth (Floyd), Sherman Pippins Jr. (Mary Jane) and Richard Pippins (Brenda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Elevate Church of Windsor, Virginia, in Shorty's honor.
