It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Max Edward Filson II of Suffolk, Virginia, born in Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on June 16, 2021, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Max Edward Filson I.; and his grandparents, Foster, Elizabeth Filson, Vance and Elsie Woodward.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kendyl and Kamryn Filson; his mother Deborah Rhoads (Gerry Ratte); his sister Kristi Filson (Shannon Bell); his nephews, Austin, Coby and Tyler; and his close friend Lisa Pender. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins in Pennsylvania; many friends.
