She is survived by: her close friends, Willie Nelson, Elvis Presley, Brenda Lee, Jan Howard, Ferlin Husky, Johnny Cash, Faron Young, Flatt, Scrubbs, Skeeter Davis, Hawkshaw Hawkins and Porter Wagoner; her son Hugh Leon Arnold; her daughter-in-law Christi Quillman; her daughter Vicki Lee Vargason (Patrick); her grandson Damon Vargason; her nieces, Linda Boles (Greg), Dana Brown (Ashley), Cynthia Blakeslee (Raymond), Sonya Darden, Melodie Hitt (Robert) and Kim Orcutt; her great-nieces, Shannan St Hillaire (Phil Hedgepeth) and Paulette Smith (Tim); her great-nephew Stephen Vastardis; and her friend Carole Chop.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (4759 Bennetts Pasture Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Darden Family Cemetery (148 W Tellie Lawrence Rd, Murfreesboro, NC 27855).
