He was predeceased by: his father John Henry Fernandez, Sr.; his siblings, Flora, John Jr., Fredora, Madeline and Yvonne; and his child Carmen.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria; and his children, Darryl (Judy), Ormond, Jr. (Ophelia), Sheena and Aaron. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
