He is survived by: his friend Post; his wife Kathleen "Casey" Carlson; his son Rob Heard; his daughter-in-law Priscilla of Hampton; his son Patrick Heard of Suffolk; his grandchildren, Jerome, Eva and Myra of Hampton; his brother Mike; his sister-in-law Beth of Mount Airy, MD; his sister Maureen; and his brother-in-law Tom of Virginia Beach.
In lieu of any flowers or other gifts, the family is encouraging donations to the Western Tidewater Free Clinic (2019 Meade Parkway, Suffolk), Crossroads Hunt Club, VFW Post 4411, or the American Heart Association, in Bob's memory.
