She is survived by: her husband Mark Herbert Barnes; her sons, Marcus (April), Marty (Wendy) and Marco (Zvijezdana); her grandchildren, Marcus Thomas (Nana Rat), Marko Antwan (Pumpkin) and Jeremy Canty; and her siblings, Andre Durwood Wilson, Cheryl Ann Wells, Lorna Kay Newsome and Sarah Lucy Jones.
She passionately volunteered and organized events through her work at Walmart—bus trips, cruises, and barbeques—all to benefit the King's Daughters charity.
