She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall James Steppe and Effie Louise Joyner Steppe. She is survived by: her children, Marcia Elks (Ralph), Harold Hobgood, Jr., Angelia Hobgood Bunch (David), Rodney Hobgood and Lisa McCarson (Tracy). She is also survived by five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
