He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart Motley Peace and Edith Holloway Peace; his wife Nancy H. Peace; his brother Kenneth; his daughter-in-law Kim P. Peace; and his grandson Nathan Carroll Peace.

He is survived by: his sons, David H. Peace (Brenda) and Whit Peace; and his granddaughters, Tabitha P. Sidwell (Chris), Tara Peace-Silvas (Kevin) and Kristi L. Peace. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
