She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Yates-Evans and Hattie Yates-Evans; her husband Louis Dixon; her siblings, Elizabeth, Russell, Thomas, Wallace and John Lee; and her great grandchild Justin.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Royster (Richard) of Suffolk, VA, Jacqueline Pittman of Portsmouth, VA, Rachel Melton (James) of Milford, DE and Mark E. Dixon of Ocoee, FL; her grandchildren, Lisa, Clayton, Dana, Erin, Qiana, Lauren, Cassandra and Kyle; her niece Brenda Glass of Suffolk, VA; and her goddaughter Monique Evans of Hagerstown, MD. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and her very dear friends.
