He was predeceased by: his parents, Georg Hammerle and Anna Hammerle; his siblings, Adolf Hammerle, Theresa Ettinger and Anna Forti; and his son Christian Walter Hammerle.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte J. Hammerle; his son Kurt Hammerle (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Amelia, Sophia and Nickolaus; Charlotte. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
