It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Oakley of Suffolk, Virginia, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, William is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Oakley and Etta Oakley; and his sister Caroline Darley. He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Barnes and Machelle Davis; and his sister Frances Newbern. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
