He was predeceased by : his wife Sybil Davis Edwards; his parents, Willie Edwards and Jewel Edwards; and his sons, William B. Edwards Jr. (Steve) and Scott Pepper.

He is survived by : his children, Doris Marie Edwards, Jeffrey S. Edwards, John K. Edwards Sr. (Frances), Don R. Edwards (Jennifer), Daniel R. Edwards, Robert Warren, Jerry Davis and Chris Davis. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
