She was predeceased by: her parents, Balford Hess and Ruby P. Hess; her former husband Dewey R. Knuckles, Jr.; her husband David Richardson; her children, Johnny Knuckles and Chrissy Knuckles; and her brothers, Bob, Steve, Charles, Grover and Clyde Hess.
She is survived by: her children, Dewey "Dupe" R. Knuckles, III (Karen) of Bluewell, WV, Jody Lee Knuckles of Jewell Ridge, Virginia and Lori Jane "Sudie" Knuckles (Jim Moore) of Richlands, Virginia.; and her sister Carol Joyce (Larry) of Cedar Bluff, Virginia..
