He was predeceased by : his parents, Jonah Dye and Fonnie Breedlove Dye; his siblings, Linda Dye, Janice Whited, Ruby Dye, Mary Sue Perkins, Betty Robinette, Robert Dye, Ralph Dye and James Dye; his brothers-in-law, Dexter Dye, Rev. Luther Hubbard, Larry Robinette, Russell Dye, Hurley Perkins and Carlos Stinson; and his close friend Jerry Perkins.
He is survived by : his wife Darlene Pruner Dye; his children, Rebecca Jessee (Becky) of Lebanon and Jonathan Wayne Dye of Swords Creek; his grandson Andrew Jessee (Hannah) of Honaker; his sisters, Shirley Hubbard of Swords Creek and Ruth Jeanette Stinson of Honaker; his brothers-in-law, Donald Ward (Betty Ann) of Marshall and Billy Pruner (Wilma) of Lebanon; his great grandchildren, Genesis Rayne, Moxley Katherine and Harrison Reed; and his close friend Alfred Wicks. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
