She was predeceased by: her husband Harry Smith Marshall; her parents, James Wesley Thorne and Hattie Virginia Chambers Thorne; and her siblings, Isabel Parks, Bob, Jack and Don Thorne.
She is survived by: her children, Lorraine Marshall of Tangier and Harry Smith "Smithy" Marshall (Susan) of Burgess, VA; her sisters, Grace Pruitt of Tangier and Alice Crockett of Tangier; her grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Parks, Greg Parks, Michelle Jenkins and Stacey Marshall; her great grandchildren, Scott, Sydney, Gregory Parks, Andrew Jenkins and Travis Spring; her sisters-in-law, Evelyn, Frances Thorne and Ruth Marshall; and her close friend Yvonne Smith (Sharon Lynn). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
