She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Byrl McCarthy, Jr.; her parents, Catherine Elizabeth Stewart and William Cameron Stewart; William Cameron Stewart, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Catherine M. Sgroi (Joseph A. Sgroi), Mary Cameron McCarthy and Eugene Byrl McCarthy III (Lucile W. McCarthy); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Cameron Sgroi (Cynthia), Joseph Eugene Sgroi (Brittney), Eugene Byrl McCarthy IV (Jordan) and Elizabeth McCarthy Jewell (Jacob); her great grandchildren, Hudson, Mac, Alden and Carson; and her sister Elizabeth Stewart Southerland.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Johns Episcopal Church (216 Duke St, Tappahannock, VA 22560).
