He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elmer Johnson and Josie Nowlin Johnson of Virginia; his wife Linda Sue; and his daughter Anna Marie Johnson. He is survived by: his son T. J. Johnson (Miranda) of Tazewell, VA; his siblings, Robert Earl "Bobby" Johnson, Judy "Jackie" Scarberry and Elizabeth "Jane" Mitchell; and his grandchildren, Kendra and Karrlin Johnson.
