She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Thomas Severt and Edith Fay Burkett Asbury; her husband James Bennett Cruey, Sr.; her granddaughter Amber Cruey; and her brother Larry Severt.
She is survived by: her sons, Thomas Cruey of Austin, TX, Jeffrey Wayne Cruey (Jennifer) of Lebanon, VA and James Bennett Cruey, Jr. (Rebecca) of North Tazewell, VA; her half-brothers, Walter Asbury of Tazewell, VA and David Asbury of Tazewell, VA; and her sister Barbara Bowling of Tazewell, VA..
