He is survived by: his wife Julia Surface Cortellesi; the mother of his children Janet Marshall Sparks; his children, Julia Yates (Charles) and Devin Michael Cortellesi (Amberly); his stepdaughter Lauren Fox (Ryan); his siblings, Dr. Thomas Brian Cortellesi (Heather) and Marcella Gail Marrs; and his grandchildren, Christina Yates, Ashley Yates, Charles Yates, Jr., Aaron Cortellesi, Taylor Cortellesi, Riley Fox, Grayson Fox and Evelyn Fox. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew.
