She was predeceased by : her parents, George E. "Kenneth" Boyd and Hattie Victoria Tiller Boyd; her husband Hersel Potter; and her siblings, Beverly Boyd, Shirley Boyd Matney and E. G. Boyd.
She is survived by : her daughters, Nawana Thomas (Steve) of Thomasville and Hope Proffitt (Charles) of Gainesville, Virginia; her grandsons, Connor Proffitt and Chase Proffitt; her siblings, Vicky Boyd, Vernal Boyd (Thelma) and Mike Boyd (Robin); the father of her children Paul Bailey; and her close friends, Tom and Ann Keene. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
