It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Carr in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Baker and Ludie Keith Baker; and her siblings, Ray Meade, Emmett Meade, Fred Meade, Hubert Meade, David Meade, Buford Meade, Gene Baker, Rosie Vance, Beatrice Neece and Agnes Jenkins.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Carr; her children, Daniel Carr (Shena) of Wilmington, NC, Ricky Carr (Misty) of Christiansburg, VA and Melissa Anderson (Greg Lester) of Pounding Mill, VA; her grandchildren, Hailey Carr, Seth Carr, Hannah Carr, Brent Anderson, Dylan Carr and Blake Anderson; and her great grandchild Freya Carr.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle (6990 Baptist Valley Rd, North Tazewell, VA 24630). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
