He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Wayne and Faye Stansbury of Tazewell; his siblings, Ray Stansbury, Shirley Stansbury, Jean Hensley and Darrell Stansbury; and his son-in-law Dennis Blaine "Kink" Parsons.
He is survived by: his wife Marian Cox Stansbury; his children, Richard Lee Stansbury, Jr. (Amanda), Marsha Ann Parsons (John Richardson) and John Ralph Repass (Deidre "DeeDee"); his grandchildren, Richard Lee Stansbury III (Amber), Clara Faye Stansbury, Gavin Stansbury, Natalie Parsons Worrell (Justin), Lucas Blaine Ralph Parsons, Victoria "Tori" Repass Clark (Seth) and Madison Repass Jacobs (Brandon); his great grandchild Michael Bowen "Bo" Jacobs; his grandsons-in-law, Justin, Seth and Brandon; and his nephew Michael Rebuck.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thompson Valley Evangelical Presbyterian Church or Dailey's Chapel Church of Tazewell, Virginia.
