He is survived by: his wife Jean Brown Laney; his children, Shannon Laney of Tazewell, VA and Kimberly Laney (Robert Cornwell); his sisters, Mary Horn of Tazewell and Laura Hanshew; and his grandson Noah Mabe (Tazewell).
