She was predeceased by: her parents, Viola Ayers Shoemaker and Roy Shoemaker; and her spouse Thomas Lee Harris. She is survived by: her children, Richard Popkins, Diana Popkins, Donna West, Robert Popkins (Sara), Carla Rhodes (Mick), Elaine Ward (Cecil) and Michael Popkins (Jane); and her grandchildren, James, Blake, Andrew, Zachary, Erika, Dustin, Jason, Melissa, David, Felecia, Robert, Brett and Cody. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens (3289 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
