He was predeceased by: his significant other Patsy Johnson. He is survived by: his brothers, Roy Johnson (Marie) and Marvin Johnson (Ruth); his children, Mike Rodriguez (Susan), Carla McDonough (Jim), Nancy Rodriguez (Ian), Dave Johnson (Carol) and Tamara Doublestein (Lonnie); and his grandchildren, Tesla Rodriguez (Tyler), Ethan Rodriguez (Jenna), Cabo Rodriguez, Elara Rodriguez, Wesley R. Mick (Julia), Nicole Shank (James), Joshua Plonsky, Alex Plonsky, Alina Plonsky, Courtney Johnson, Alexandria Hall, Dylan Johnson (Emily), Trenton Johnson (Sharon) and Devan DeVito (Jeremy). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg (3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
