He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph H. Johnson and Rose E. Gobble Johnson of Abingdon, VA.; his siblings, L. C., Charles, Trelma Johnson Hayter, Eileen Johnson Toon, Dortheda Johnson Price and Jean Johnson Gehlken; and his close friend Helen McKenzie.
He is survived by : his brother David Wayne Johnson (Elaine).
