He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Bly and Ruth Hockman Bly; and his children, Donna Miller (Gary) and Danny Peters. He is survived by: his brothers, Harold, Daniel, John and Fredrick; his uncle Ted; his aunt Lena Hockman; his wife Betty Jane Bly; his children, Jesse Glover (Ronnie) and David Peters (Denise); his grandchildren, Allison Spencer, Nathan Sheetz, William Cooke, Madelynn Glover, Caden Glover, Ariel Glover, Brittany Crabill, Alyssa Johnson, Riley Peters, Morgan Peters-Campos, Lindsay McDaniels, Ryan Peters, Amanda Wann, Jason Carter and Brandon Carter; and his pets, Rascal, Skunk and Lucy. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Heishman Funeral Service (159 N Main St, Woodstock, VA 22664). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
