He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Lee Vance and Daisy Pearl James Middleton; his wife Joanne C. Arbogast Vance; his siblings, Geneva Lee Vance, James Henry Vance and Charles Calvin Rickard; his stepfather Earl James; and his daughters, Sherry Leigh Baughman (John) and Barbara Jean Dellinger (David).
He is survived by: his sister Joyce Spence (Steve) of Strasburg; his children, Darlene Berndt (Martin) of Woodstock, Donna Vance of Woodstock, Debra Morris (Kris) of Middletown, Dale Vance of Maurertown, Tracey Vance (Christina DeMarkas) of Maurertown and Stacey Vance of Toms Brook; and his caregiver Sandra Charette (Boozie). He is also survived by numerous Grandchildren; Great- Grandchildren; Great-Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Service (14116 S Middle Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
