He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Virginia Armstead; his children, Chuck Armstead, Gina Bartle (Barry) and Joey Armstead; his stepson Dave Hayden; his stepgranddaughter Mandy Hayden; and his parents, Willie Armstead and Elizabeth Mitchum Armstead. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and three step great-great grandchildren.
