He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Bowyer and Paul Bowyer; and his siblings, Garland, Gene, Donnie Bowyer, Judy Caton and Pat Ballard.
He is survived by: his wife Vella Haynes Bowyer; his brothers, Norville Bowyer (Jenny) and Jack Bowyer (Gail); his children, Deborah Stokes (Jim) and Kenneth Bowyer (Bonnie); and his grandchildren, Michael Stokes (Jennifer), Jenna Oliver (Craig), Tamara Smith (Jason), Kim Avis (Heather) and Ricka Gilliland (Josh). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bonsack Baptist Church.
