We bid farewell to Kathryn Beard McGhee of Troutville, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 26, 2025 at the age of 81. Kathryn Beard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her former husband Jerry C. Durham; her husband Harold McGhee; her son Douglas Durham; her parents, Karl Beard and Ruth Beard; and her pet Oscar.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Hughes (Kevin) and Steve Durham (Tammy); her daughter-in-law Margee Durham (Jim Pruitt); her brother Jerry; and her sister-in-law Juilda Beard. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the church for Kathy's funeral arrangements.
