With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Johnson Young of Troutville, Virginia, who passed away on November 29, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George; her parents, Carl Johnson and Eleanor Johnson; and her siblings, David Johnson (Carol) and Edith Tinder (Don).
She is survived by: her children, Mary Anne Briles (Mike), Micah Young (Stephanie) and Karen Petersen (Daniel); her siblings, Janet Johnson, Mary Valle, Harry Johnson (Ruth) and Ken Johnson (Melli); and her grandchildren, Ethan, Christiana, Luke, Rebekah, Anna Grace, Nicholas, Richard, Cade, Aidan, Eleanor, Savannah, John, Ezra, Katherine, Liesl and Jude.
The only thing that stopped her was Covid in 2020 and then cancer in 2021.
