We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2025, at the age of 75, Linda Gale Hughes (Vernon Hill, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hughes and Lillian Hughes of Vernon Hill, VA.. She is survived by: her husband Billy R. Walden; her daughters, Tammy G. Holland (Fred) of Vernon Hill, VA, Teresa G. Whitt (Chris) of South Boston, VA and Tonya P Allred (Ricky) of Elon, N. C; her sister Debra Hess of Vernon Hill, VA; her sibling's children, Beth Bennett (Emily) of Blairs, VA and Jonathan Bennett (Amy) of Petersburg, VA; her son Earle; her grandchildren, Sarah Cook (Russell), Bronson Holland, Tiffany Holland, Levi Whitt, Benjamin Whitt, Logan Allred, Trent Allred and Earle T. Orme IV; and her great grandchildren, Christopher Cook and Sawyer Holland.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the County Line Baptist Church (10151 Chatham Rd, Vernon Hill, VA 24597). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to County Line Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
