Margaret B. Alphin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret B. Alphin of Verona, Virginia, who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margaret B. Alphin to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Collie, Sr. and Mollie Mae Moyer Branch; her husband James Wilson Alphin; and her brothers, Bernard "Buck" Crafton and James Odell.
She is survived by: her children, Abby Dunning Huffman (Michael) of Stuarts Draft, Gary Lee Dunning (Carolyn Ann) of Linville, Larry Edward Dunning (Mary Kathleen) of Indiana and Beverley Ann McCrave (Michael) of Florida; her stepdaughter Lynn Dee Morris of Staunton; her siblings, Glenn P. Branch and Barbara Branch Wilson; her close friends, Don Fitzgerald and Wanda Via; her pets, Nikki and Tom; and her sisters, Joyce Elaine Branch Dunning and Ethell May Branch. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a number of other special friends, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home (1030 W Beverley St, Staunton, VA 24401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Vernon Church of the Brethren (90 Mt Vernon Rd, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
