He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Cawthorne and Betsie Cawthorne; his wife Louise Whirley Cawthorne; and his sons, Marion N. "Marty" Cawthorne, Jr. and Craig S. Cawthorne.
He is survived by: his children, David L. Cawthorne (Teresa), Chris Cawthorne, Kimberly Cawthorne, Kevin Cawthorne and Ashley Cawthorne; his grandchildren, Melissa Robbins, Melissa Hansen, Diamond Cawthorne, Brittany Morgan, Jacob Midkiff, Tyler Midkiff, Katelyn Cawthorne and David Cawthorne; his great grandchildren, Gabrielle Roach, Isabella Roach, Shane Robbins, Mason Robbins, Jason Hansen, Emily Hansen, Noah Hansen, Haven Harris and Harper Harris; and his sister-in-law Patricia Wright. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
