She was predeceased by: her parents, James P. and Mary E. Bevins of Pikeville, Kentucky.; and her husband John Lafferty. She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Karen, Don Zimmerman, Jon-Michael, Holly Zimmerman and Viviann James Zimmerman; her grandchildren, Keith, Cathy Lafferty, Hope Fralin, Rodney Coleman, Morgan, Evan Massengill, Eleanor Mae Massengill, Kellie and Ricky Rhodes; her sister Kathy Bevins Novak (Bob); and her sister-in-law Lucille James. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel (627 Hardy Rd, Vinton, VA 24179). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
