He is survived by: his wife Judith Smith; his children, Barry Edward Smith, Thomas Allen Smith (Melissa) and Lawanna Marie Freeman; his stepchildren, Karen Beard, David Beard (Penny), Joseph Beard and Shelly Beard; and his siblings, Bill Smith (Judy), Russell Smith (Vickie) and Gloria Couts. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
