She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby "Smokey" Gordon; her parents, Joseph Bandy and Dorothy Bandy; her siblings, Janet Shrewsberry, Joe Bandy and Tom Bandy; her aunt Doris Flora; her parents-in-law, Beatrice and Ray Spickard; her brothers-in-law, Emil Shrewsberry, Jack Gibson and Ralph Spickard; her nephew Barry Roberts; and her close friend Mike Roberts.
She is survived by: her daughter Lana Gail (Mike Vaught); her granddaughter Marlaina "Marlie" Clark (Matt); her great grandchildren, Ariel Ann Clark and Laila Grace Clark; her sister Marcia Gibson; her siblings-in-law, Kathy Bandy, Donna Bandy, Marie Scott, Louise Holland and Jerry Holland; her close friend Dee Lancaster; her aunt Panzie Saunders; and her friends, David, Crystal Rippey and Betty. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel (627 Hardy Rd, Vinton, VA 24179). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations would be made in Betty's name at Good Samaritan Hospice or Angles of Assisi.
