It is with sadness that the passing of Buddy Lee Adams of Vinton, Virginia is shared. Buddy, born on August 9, 1944, passed away on October 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Hopson and Pete Adams; his brother Richard; his siblings-in-law, Freddie, Johnny, John, Kelly, James, Ed, Charles, Phyllis, Linda, Kathy, Shirleane and Diane; and his in-laws, Wiley and Dorothy Lovern.
He is survived by: his wife Fay; his children, Michael (Barbara) and Angie (Tim); his grandchildren, Tony (Jennifer), Noah (Riley), Zoe, Emerson, Nate and Beth; his great grandchildren, Stella, Charlie, Helena and Luanna; and his siblings, Donnie (Sharon), Jimmy (Joyce), Butch, Pat and Jean. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel (627 Hardy Rd, Vinton, VA 24179). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Southwest Virginia Veteran's Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd, Dublin, VA 24084).
Donations in Buddy's name can be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital or another charity of your choice.
