She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Homer Lewis Simmons Jr.; her siblings, Herman Chaney, Harold Chaney and Lois Chaney Leftwich; her children, Scott Anthony Simmons (Melanie) and Sherre Oakes Wehman (Stephen); her grandsons, Justin Drew Oakes (Addie), Isaac Bailey Simmons (Hannah) and Owen David Simmons (McKenzie); her great grandchild Hannah Lynn Oakes; her siblings, Edmond Chaney (Anne), Sarah Hill and Lettie Perez; her caregiver Logan; Carol Horacek.
