She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Lewis Ashby and Florence Mae Ashby (Wyatt); her husband Alan Lynn Rickerson; her daughter-in-law Sydney Taylor Rickerson (Kenny); and her brother Roger Lee Ashby (Gale).
She is survived by: her sons, Kenny Rickerson and Brian Rickerson (Danielle); her brother Bruce Ashby (Gwen); her sibling's children, Matt Ashby (Tori), Mark Ashby (Courtney) and Sarah Bernard (Matthew); her sisters-in-law, Sandra Rickerson and Gale Ashby; and her grandsons, Hunter, Walker, Nash and Luke. She is also survived by friends, former coworkers, and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Roanoke Valley SPCA, an organization close to Ella's heart.
